In this class, we will take a deep dive into the necessary components that a methodology section should include when writing a comprehensive behavior support plan. Who Should Attend? This on demand training is tailored to schools, community centered boards, and service agencies who are required to write, review, or oversee the development of behavior support plans (Behavioral-Individual Service and Support Plans).

1. Understand the criteria that should be met when selecting a socially significant behavior for behavior change.

2. Review and understand the functions of behaviors.

3.  Learn about setting events and their impact on antecedents and challenging behaviors.

4. Develop replacement behaviors based on the function of the target behavior.

3. Understand the importance of including preventative techniques based on setting events and the function of the challenging behavior.

5. Learn how to respond to the challenging behavior to keep everyone safe. 

6.  Learn what questions to ask when a BISSP isn't producing a change in behavior.
